Accountabilities & Activities:
- Process Policy holders request and Agents inquiries on a daily basis by evaluating and resolving policy issues. Guarantees quality and timeliness of processes by reviewing procedures and ensuring checks and balances are in place in order to meet service standard and department objectives.
- Premium payment: Includes processing credit card payments as needed, review bank daily to identify incoming premium, apply checks, verify daily premium received against premium applied reports. Update Life Admin system accordingly.
- Policy changes: Includes Reinstatements, changes in beneficiary designation, Ownership changes, bank Assignments, address and e-mail changes for Policy holders and agents.
- Benefit changes: Return of Premium benefit, and Classification changes.
- Serves as backup to International Life Business Manager and International Life Business Administrator.
- Assists with other projects and analysis as needed, including implementation of new systems.
- Process life Savings commissions weekly and provide necessary backup to our Commissions Department for future new business.
- Provide support to other teams including Bahamas and Jamaica.
- Liaison with third party support such as JBK and AdminSeg.
Qualifications, Training & Experience:
- Professional approach to work with good time management and/or prioritisation skills
- Previous experience in insurance preferred.
- Associate's degree or higher
- Basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the life insurance industry. Loma Course or any other Life Insurance courses preferred
- Excellent customer service 2+ years of experience working within a service environment.
- Ability to self-Manage daily workload and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, prioritizing and time management skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office at intermediate level.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with ability to speak fluently write and read effectively in both languages.
- Excellent written communication, oral presentation, and statistical/analytical skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross culturally, experience in the Latin American Market preferred.
- Exceptional rapport building and interpersonal skills.
- Position is on-site everyday in San Juan, Puerto Rico

This position uses sound business practices, and considers operating processes, market trends and political and cultural flow of the international market, when making decisions. Individual must be able to consider the cost of doing business against the benefits in decision making.
